Rug's Family
Rug’s Family is a project that originated from a relationship with a group of craftswomen in Portugal, based in Bogas do Meio in the Gardunha mountain range. Using the image of the folded rug, and working with the same materials and production techniques, several typologies were developed that have the rug as its initial form. Working solely at planning design level, by cutting and sewing, a family of objects has been created that are merely rugs, whose form transcends the plain rectangle, and that after being folded create different pieces of furniture. At the end you just have to fold!
